Caritas will appreciate the dedicated work of its staff, volunteers and supporters in the St. Vitus

The Caritas Czech Republic Prize has been awarded since 2008. It is a thanks and a recognition for the dedicated work of excellent employees, volunteers or supporters of Caritas. At the same time, we consider it a reminder of the feast of the patron saint Vincent de Paul (September 27).

In 2020, the awards could not be ceremoniously presented due to the deteriorating situation related to Covid-19. We were preparing the event on October 6 in the St. Thomas Church in Lesser Town, but it had to be cancelled a few days before the event.

In the St. Thomas Church, the awards were presented in the years 2009 – 2014, and in 2015-2019, the awards were given as a part of a benefit concert of the Caritas of the Archdiocese of Prague, which always took place on October 31 in the Prague Municipal House.

The Caritas Czech Republic Awards for 2020 and 2021 will be presented on October 19 in the Cathedral of St. Vitus, Wenceslas and Adalbert in Prague.
