Personal Data Processing Principles

We process personal data in compliance with Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data (“GDPR”). In general, we always process personal data to an extent necessary for a given purpose. We work with them in a manner that makes them secured against unauthorized access, accidental loss, destruction or damage. We only store them for a strictly necessary period and archive them within statutory time limits under the applicable regulations.

We collect data via the website of Caritas Czech Republic on donors, job applicants, interns and volunteers, plus information on persons subscribing to our newsletters.

In conformity with the applicable regulations we may process your personal data without your consent in these cases:

  • data which are necessary to fulfil our legal obligations (for example, they are concerned by the Accounting Act),
  • data which are necessary to perform the contract we make with you,
  • data in whose processing we have legitimate interest (records of donations, informing about your activities, making a contact to solicit a donation).

In other cases we process data subject to your consent. We do not disclose data to other parties excluding contract partners who make possible communication with you, excluding circumstances when we have a legal obligation to disclose your personal data to another person.
