As a result of the protracted armed conflict, Eastern Ukraine is facing a long-term humanitarian crisis. The current escalation of fights is further exacerbating the dramatic situation in the country. Tens of thousands more people are or will be forced to flee and, like those who remain in the areas of fighting for the time being, are in need of assistance to secure their basic needs.

In cooperation with our long-term partner, Caritas Ukraine, we are focusing on providing essential necessities, such as water, food, sanitation and shelter to the war-affected people of Ukraine as part of our immediate relief efforts. The intervention also includes the provision of psychological assistance.
