On Sunday 9th January, the fifteenth annual Three Kings´Concert which traditionally goes with the Three Kings Collection, was broadcast live on TV. This year, the viewers donated 1 069 044 crowns, and we thank you for it. Collection proceeds will help people in need.
This year, 279 000 adults and 8 000 children under 14 watched the concert. The show was hosted by popular presenter duo Jan Čenský and Martina Kociánová. The Three Kings´Concert´s programme was filled with songs that were followed by reports from Caritas Valašské Meziříčí and Caritas Nový Hrozenkov.
A surprising piece of news this year, the actors Jakub Uličník and Michal Isteník hosted the concert from backstage. They took the viewers to the rehearsal room, where Lenka Nová was preparing for the performance together with Petr Malásek and Josef Štěpánek. The actors also visited the Town Theatre in Brno, where they both work.
Three interprets were performed at the concert. Each of them played two pieces. The first song was sung by Petr Bende, who together with children´s dancers from the Ondrášek ensemble in one of the other reports, went to visit people from South Moravian villages affected by the tornado, and sang for them. In the studio, Lenka Nová also performed together with Petr Malásek and Josef Štěpánek. The end of the show was up to the band Tata Bojs. The Three Kings Collection did not end with the concert. You can donate to the collection all year round.
The Three Kings Collection patron is the City of Brno.
