In addition to direct assistance for those in need, Caritas provides legal aid. This includes commenting on social and health bills that our experts analyse. We will spark off a debate on the need for system-wide changes, for example, as in the current case of the health and social care boundary, affordable social housing, financing of social services, enforcement of bailiffs' territoriality, minimum income, or financing of home health care.

Caritas’ legal assistance also includes monitoring and commenting on national social and health strategies and the conditions for the drawdown on the European Structural Funds. It is very important that funds help where they are really needed.
